TYPE:
"Hovea pannosa, thus named by its indefatigable
discoverer, Mr. ALLAN CUNNINGHAM, is a native of Mount
Stirling, in the country northward from Bathurst, in the
interior of New South Wales, and was raised at the Royal
Gardens of Kew from seeds sent in 1823. Mr. AITON obligingly
communicated specimens and the drawing here figured, during the
last summer (1830)."
COMMENT: Base name for Hovea longifolia var. pannosa (Hook.) Benth.; Hovea longifolia
sub var. pannosa (Hook.) Domin.
