Born on 30th November 1948 in Brisbane, Qld; died in 2024 at Merrimac, Qld.
He worked for the Queensland Herbarium in the 1970s in the vegetation mapping section.
He undertook a 1972 survey to Cape York, a 1973 survey related to Eremophila mitchelii, and a survey as part of the 'Western Arid Region Land Use Study' (WARLUS) Part IV, mostly in 1975 and published in 1978.
It was at this time that he did most of his herbarium collecting, before moving to Western Australia.
In WA he led the spatial resource section of WA agriculture, responsible then for remnant vegetation mapping (ie managing, monitoring clearing).
He was also Soil and Land Commissioner.
In this capacity his group digitised all of John Beard's vegetation maps at 1:25,000 scale, compiling these into:
